Stephen King is still one of my favorite authors

February 24, 2009

For those of you that remember the girl from Amazing Book?, she’s back.  This time she’s hot and bothered about a recent interview with Stephen King.  For those that aren’t aware of the interview, I’ve provided the link here.  Without further ado, I present the latest off the deep end abomination of support for Stephanie Meyer.

Thank god for these responses, I can keep some faith in humanity

All press is good press

December 9, 2008

Twilight does well to remember that fact, which to some extent is how it managed to milk $7.25 (Matinee showings are so much better for cost) out of me.  Twilight has certainly generated a large amount of interest lately, and I feel that I have to respond to some of the things in Lily’s comment.   This article will ultimately be my last Twilight article for a while, since what started as a two day affair has become a nearly week long endeavor into more about Twilight than I ever wanted to know.  If this were to keep up, I’m fairly certain I’d never get to talking about Australia, which I watched immediately after Twilight last Friday.

What did Lily say? Spoilers Ahead

Twilight: A vampire with dull teeth

December 8, 2008

Twilight marks the first time that I have been the only person in a movie theater.  I have in the past come close to being the only person in a theater on a few other occasions, for example Kung Pow: Enter The Fist.  Thankfully for Twilight, it is spared from both it’s audience [which is considerably harder to pass judgment on when they're not there], and the unfortunate amount of money that the Kung Pow earned.  Twilight is also fortunate that it is no where near as awful as Kung Pow [which, unfortunately for Twilight, was only awful because it was intentionally mocking terrible dubs from years past].
