So I haven’t been home for an extended period of time since I finished the last piece, but I want to put one more trailer out there for those who are in the right places. Let Them Chirp Awhile was released all the way back on December 5th in a limited release. I know next to nothing about this charming looking film, but it seems like the dialogue is well done, and the characters are natural, if stereotypical. While it doesn’t seem like the best movie of 2008, it’s certainly worth a glance. Without further ado, the trailer.
Unfortunately for 2008, it had the wonderful privilege to go out with Marley and Me on top. With any luck January 2009 will give something better to work with. That is of course assuming the public doesn’t feel compelled to get another dose of Owen Wilson’s latest attempt to recover his career post Wedding Crashers.
So here’s the run of the mill action suspense movie for the month. Liam Neeson is looking pretty good, and his character can’t help but make you curious. It’s a bit of the 24 syndrome in a way, but even so, it’s one of the more promising looking movies for January.
As I’m currently traveling across the state while this is being published, I thought it might be worth reminding people of the upcoming movies for the next half a month or so. I’m clearly not going to be covering all of them as that would be a waste of my time, but rather just what I consider to be the genuinely good looking ones. In this case I think the top billing merits being on the front page. Note: Most of these trailers come in HD or high quality if you follow them to youtube.
So what movie do I think looks best in the next months?
This movie has been generating buzz for a while. With Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett heading up the cast to a remarkably unique and major motion picture, I’m expecting good things. Hopefully, the images and score in the trailer indications of more to come.
