Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I’m not loving it.

December 23, 2008

Sorry for the long delay, I’ve been a bit busy.  Just a quick update and a bit of a rant.  This is a bit of old news that was recently brought back into my consciousness by the news tonight.  As the Wichita Eagle reports, a man in Kansas was so enraged by the recent decision McDonald’s made to change McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger to the McDouble, that he decided to scream and punch the drive through window, before taking off and leading the police on a short chase.  So what’s the difference between a double cheeseburger and the McDouble?  In essence, it’s a slice of cheese.  The McDouble has one and costs $1, while the McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger has two slices of cheese, and costs $1.19.    McDonald’s hasn’t said anything substantial on the issue, but the hush-hush is that it’s the economy that caused the increase price.

All this over a cheeseburger

Let’s talk about the scene for a minute

Tonight, I went to the store in order to buy a book for Food and Wine Pairing I.    After purchasing Great Tastes Made Simple: Extraordinary Food and Wine Pairing for Every Palate by Andrea Immer, I proceed to head to Target to pick up a binder. Being that the Christmas season is fast approaching and my list has been light, I figured I’d head over and check out the music selection.  Music had become something of an addiction for me while I was in New Hampshire for the summer.  My car still hasn’t fully recovered from the number of CDs I purchased.

Maybe I don’t need more room for CD storage after all

It was too much tequila, or not quite enough

It’s very late. I’m very tired. Suffice it to say, time is becoming a constraint again, but such is the case in the quarter system.

I have too many things to update, and since I fear the day will turn over again before I can mention them all, here’s a quick run down.

Six things I hope to get to eventually
